A Rosy Showcase

Marriage has always been a happy event. Never will you see sad faces, well... except maybe the bride's parents. It's usually when they realise that their beautiful daughter has grown up. Dad's little girl is no longer little and won't be there to give Dad a hug when dad returns from work.

This showcase was done specially for Badrul & Sarah, the beautiful Couple for the day.

B-E-A-utiful......

Sometimes, on your trips overseas, the photos you take have no meaning to anyone else who was not there with you. Pictures of caves, roads, horses etc all hold no meaning.

My recent trip back to Australia kept me spellbounded by the beauty nature provides. Visiting a country as a tourist never appealed to me, instead, lots of times, I prefer to live it (as far as possible) as a local.

This trip back, I managed to skip all the shopping and expensive sightseeing, instead, I got to catch up with my dearest of friends (something I've always missed about this beautiful country), lie on a patch of grass, reading a book, catch a nice nap in the sun, take some photographs... in short, doing everything yet at the same time almost nothing.

I must thank Russell n Therese Antcliff for once again reminding me why i actually love this country so much. You guys don't realise how infinitely priceless nature around you is. It's something I always wished i had, but never did.

Oh by the way, for those reading this, you guys HAVE to stay at the Bed n Breakfast run by the Antcliffs, its ABSOLUTELY beautiful!!

One advice, on a clear night, get your mat out, lie out in the open and just gaze up into the sky... worth every single cent paid to stay there! You just need to get Russell started on the history of Anna bay, or about the flora and fauna around their place! You might learn something new... Therese has a few tricks up her sleeves too! You have got to find that out yourselves, Right therese?

Check out their place at

Fred, thanks for showing me around, enduring my commands,

"Face 45deg right, but eyes turned towards the camera... lean with your hands in this position... look here... say cheese...."

Thanks for being so accommodating... simply put, THANKS for being my friend. Regent Dinner was GREAT MAN!

Charles, Inez, Warwick and Eun A.. Great seeing all of ya! Thoroughly enjoyed catching up and sharing all our stories. Reminds me how long ago since I truly had a great intellectual conversation with friends. You guys brought some much great memories back for me, whilst at the same time creating new ones!

Simplistic love for life.

A Trip that took us beyond

This trip out was meant to explore landscapes and nature's flowers, it ended up finding a hidden gem, an abandoned house that in its own time was complete with porclein vases, wide open spaces and past colonial architecture.

My Reluctant Model

After a session of Riding, tired and feeling adventureous at the same time, me and my "second only" friend drove around trying to find a hidden, off the beaten track location where we saw vehicles parked with BBQ pits erected having a ball of a time.

We ended up finding another location where a huge number of people were fishing and ending up playing with the camera.

She ended up unintentionally being my model... Realise that mostly looks the same? Well, everything around us was the same outgrowth, but amazingly calming and beautiful (minus the rubbish)

Phuket... Simply Needing it

Travel has never been so much fun until you really go with people who can P-AR-TY and know how to rest and relax during the proper times... Simply going to take pictures with people who appreciate the true meaning of photography the way i see it makes this trip one of the best i've been to.

Day 1: Beautiful Sunset (Sadly, its the only day that had such beautiful sunset)

Thanks to ChiewMin who was so willing to help me by being my model, enduring the looking into the sun just to pose for my "perfect" shot.

Day 3: Phi Phi Island (Beautiful waters, sand and beach)

Day 4: Heading home.. sniff sniff

Dun ask me what happened to day 2. I've no idea actually.

On the last day whilst idling time away relaxing, preparing to head home, we managed to find our way into Starbucks to get a quick cuppa. Thats when we started to fiddle around with the camera.

Doesn't ChiewMin look totally shocked here?

Selection Pics: Just love playing with new lenses

Corn anyone?

Parting & Final Shot

Now, this shot of the smoke trail, i can't claim credit for. Personally, I thought it was an absolutely great shot which the photographer set out to capture the right mood and SUCESSFULLY achieved that goal, so thats why it appears here.

Good on ya.. You know who you are.

Weddings, don't you just love them?

Weddings. One of those things that occur almost every year when you are my age, then stop after you hit the big 40, only to have it return some time later when you friends' sons and daughters get married.

No matter how many weddings you attend, the most beautiful ones are those in which you played a major part in some aspect of the actual event.

This portfolio was done specially for Leon and Christina who endured a long and tiring day, my endless requirements for the perfect shot and of course the photographer himself. For the photographer, it is an endless battle of finding the right moment to press the button and trying to get the bride and groom to smile and importantly look into each others eyes lovingly!!

Annoucements

I've had to do this simply because i've been getting TOO much complaints regarding me trying to protect my pictures and the people and things i capture.

So i've decided to try my very best to look for my original pictures and post them up minus the copyright i used to put on them. Forgive me, I did not manage to find all my pictures from the terribly huge collection of cds i have.

I can only say this to those who support me. Save them if you wish to, but PLEASE do not use them for your profit. Thank you. The copyright still belongs to me.

Singapore: A past captured in the future

Events meant for a purpose turned out one that allowed for an absolutely great photo opportunity. Everyday events become a simple picture that would be capture timelessly.

Once more... HOME's Beauty Part II

A Hidden place amongst our shores bring people to wonder, have we explored everything or is it a oversight?

Unable to find a suitable model, we sought to make use of what we had to tell the story of this MISguided photographer, one of sadness, mistaken creativity and determination to make good whatever is left in this world.

Home is where the heart is

Sometimes, the best locations to shoot are the least thought of locations.

Me and my new found phootshooting buddy went on a day of exploration with unexpected encounters with squatters and a lil old tree snake, right in our backyard.
